Chocolate AND Banana Bread lovers unite! Nothing beats the smell of fresh banana bread in the oven. I have tried several different versions of this recipe, and I am happy to admit this is by far my favorite. Top with your favorite nut butter, fruit and granola for a tasty treat that everyone in the family will enjoy.
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
pinch of salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup vanilla greek yogurt
1 stick butter
2- 3 ripe bananas
chocolate chips + chunks!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Add wax paper to loaf pan, and coat with non-stick spray.
Whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon together in a large bowl.
Add butter and brown sugar to stand mixer and beat together until smooth and creamy. Add eggs, yogurt and bananas and mix until well combined. Slowly add in dry ingredients and mix on low speed. Do not overmix! Fold in chocolate chunks and chips.
Use spatula to add batter to prepared pan. Top with additional chocolate chips and chunks, and bake for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and allow bread to cool before slicing.
